Casey Leggett, working with Greg Delbigio Q.C. and Lisa Sturgess, successfully challenged the constitutionality of S. 36 (1) and S. 36 (2) of the Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Act which purported to authorize the introduction of a summary of hearsay and opinion and documentary evidence obtained internationally in domestic Canadian criminal proceedings.
